Q: I submitted my film, now what? 

A: The submitted films will be reviewed by the panel of Syracuse University alumni judges. The top films will be showcased and awarded at a special event celebrating the student filmmakers. 

Q: My film has copyrighted material. Can I still submit? 

A: Yes. This film festival is for educational purposes under the Copyright Fair Use Provision.

Q: Can I submit animated films?

A: Yes! We encourage all genres and styles to be submitted. 

Q: Can I submit a film I made before enrolling in Syracuse University?

A: No. OrangeReels is showcasing student work created while enrolled in Syracuse University.

Q: My film is longer than 15 minutes. Can I still submit? 

A: In an effort to showcase all the selected films within our allotted time, we ask that all submissions remain under 15 minutes. However, if your film exceeds 15 minutes, please contact our team for consideration. 

Q: What if my film is in a language other than English?

A: All films that use a language other than English should provide subtitles.
